EFA Office Weekly Update

EFA Families,

Today we will cover instructions for 2026-27 EFA applications, which will open on March 9th.

Current queue dates

We are currently reviewing submissions from the following dates:

• Reimbursement - 2/4 (finally got past 2/3!)

• Direct Pay - 2/12

• Marketplace - 2/15

• Pre-approvals - 2/22

If you have a submission from before these dates that has not yet been reviewed, it is likely being given closer consideration. Feel free to reach out to ADE if you have submissions from before these dates.

2026-27 EFA Application Opens Next Week!

It is almost time to apply or renew for the Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA) program for the 2026–27 school year. Applications open Monday, March 9.

Every student must complete an application to participate in the program next year. Returning students will complete a renewal survey in ClassWallet, and new students must submit a full application through FACTS.

Below are the steps depending on whether your student was approved for the EFA program this year or will be applying for the first time.

For students who already have a ClassWallet account:

1. Log into your ClassWallet account on or after March 9th.

2. A pop up will appear asking you to complete the renewal survey.

3. You can select to complete it immediately, or wait until another time.

4. If you select to complete it immediately, answer all of the questions until you see a confirmation that you have completed the renewal survey.

5. If you can't complete it right away, the pop up will show up the next time you login. The deadline to complete it is June 1st.

6. Please switch to each child's account to complete the survey for all of your children.

For students who will be new to EFA in 2025-26:

1. Log into arkansasefa.com. If you do not have an account here, please create one.

2. Select that you are applying for the 2026-27 school year.

3. Fill out information for each new student accurately.

4. If you already have an approved student in the EFA Program, you will not need to upload residency documentation, but you will need to upload age verification documentation (birth certificate or passport) for every new applying student.

While it is not necessary to complete these applications immediately after they open, please complete them before June 1st.
