Another mom here in our amazing group has taken the time to compile a spreadsheet with information on the Museums, National Parks, State Parks, Nature Centers, and Botanical gardens. Many of these wonderful resources are FREE.

Currently these would be reimbursable only, but we will be looking into options for purchasing tickets via direct pay with as many of the locations as possible. Currently none have options for direct pay though.

Only the first page, paid locations with tickets, are possible for milage reimbursement until we are able to confirm the approval of the others, because you will need to upload a receipt for tickets to the locations with the milage spreadsheet when claiming mileage or reimbursement for the tickets. Once a method for PROVING travel to the free locations properly we will have those added into the list.

But EVERYTHING on page one of this list is on the field trip approved list with the EFA now and a reimbursable trip.

Mileage for field trips comes out of the Field Trip/Extracurricular 25% cap, NOT the mileage 25% cap. So, keep this in mind when scheduling trips and balancing them with you plans for EC activities. (Travel to APPROVED extracurricular activities (even reimbursement only ones) goes in the travel reimbursement category not this one.)

Only the student ticket can be claimed UNLESS a family pass option is less than the student tickets. Otherwise, where each ticket is separate only student tickets can be reimbursed.

To access a spreadsheet for calculating mileage and fees for field trips. This is meant to be submitted monthly at most with the receipts for the trips included. You choose MAKE A COPY to use the sheet. Fill in ALL LIGHT BLUE FIELDS and the pink fields for costs of tickets and total miles traveled. Input the TOTAL round trip miles calculated from your home to the address you have on the spreadsheet then back to your home. The receipts MUST be uploaded along with the spreadsheet.
