The Nomadic Professor's history curricula stands out with its on-location video lectures filmed worldwide by globetrotting historian Dr. William Jackson. The videos help bring historical settings to life, and supplement the original course text (which is also available in audio format), daily student guided notes, self-graded quizzes, flashcards, document-based lessons, and more, offering a fresh alternative to traditional textbooks and courses.

Beyond rote, contextless memorization, it emphasizes critical thinking and historical literacy, teaching students to evaluate primary and secondary sources, analyze biases, and construct research-based arguments. The course is interdisciplinary, integrating credits in subjects like Rhetoric and Logic, American literature, and Composition.

Every course actively avoids an ideological slant. They present thorough evidence, strive to be fair and balanced, and strive to represent the past in all of its muddiness and complexity, helping to foster independent judgment for students looking ahead at post-high school life.

Our first series, American History, is complete with four parts. World History will be released this fall and our selections will continue to grow!

We are now available in the ClassWallet Marketplace. You can login and find us in the Marketplace and order our courses directly

The Thinking Tree offers a unique, interest-led homeschool curriculum for grades K–12, created by Sarah Janisse Brown, founder of Fun-Schooling, a method that makes learning fun for kids and easy for moms.

Our open-and-go workbooks, journals, and activity books help children learn through their natural talents and passions. Instead of nagging or pushing, Fun-Schooling invites kids to explore what they love—horses, Minecraft, art, baking, animals, music, and more. All while covering all core subjects like reading, writing, math, science, history, and geography.

At the heart of our method are the Fun-Schooling Bundles, available in dozens of interest themes. These journals organize your child’s daily learning and turn their favorite topics into meaningful educational pathways.

We also offer supplemental resources, including:
Dyslexia Games dyslexia therapy workbooks for struggling readers
• ADHD-friendly journals that support focus and creativity
• Hands-on enrichment in art, logic, STEM, and life skills

Families can pair our journals with library books, card and board games, art projects, or online learning tools to build a customizable, delight-directed homeschool experience.
