Art Club with MacKenzie Turner offers youth and teen art classes, ceramics instruction, and private lessons led by an experienced art educator and working artist with over 10 years of studio practice and several years teaching in both schools and community settings.
Classes take place in downtown Siloam Springs at De Lux Trading Co and are designed to be welcoming, skill-building, and creatively engaging for students of all experience levels.
Youth Art Club (ages 7–12) meets on the 1st and 3rd Fridays from 4:45–6:00 PM and introduces students to drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and mixed media through guided projects that build confidence and foundational art skills in a supportive environment.
Teen Ceramics Night (ages 13–17) meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 5:30–6:30 PM and focuses on handbuilding techniques to create both functional and sculptural clay pieces, with an emphasis on form, surface design, carving, and texture; no prior clay experience is required and all materials and firing are included.
In addition to group classes, private and small-group art lessons are available for homeschool families, friend groups, portfolio development, or skill-specific workshops such as drawing, painting, or ceramics.
Private lessons are scheduled in the evenings or on weekends outside of the instructor’s full-time work hours, and materials can be included depending on the project.
When registering for any class or lesson, families are purchasing a reserved seat in the session, all listed materials, instruction from an experienced art educator, and use of studio space; ceramics classes also include firing.
