** Note, anything not reviewed that was submitted before these dates is likely in further review for one of many reasons. But as a WHOLE this is where the queue is at in processing.

I created a page to give better steps and better instructions on requesting preapproval to hopefully clear up some questions and issues. Especially reminders about not forgetting about tax and shipping for the item when submitting the amount needed.

There have been some science kits that were rejected based on ‘live animals’ – NOW that said… LIVE ANIMALS are in fact prohibited. But for all intents and purposes bugs in science kits are not considered live animals and staff is being updated to make sure they all know the distinction.

There have been vendors this weekend who emailed because parents could not find them in direct pay and they were concerned their listing had gotten disconnected somehow because lets face it, it has happened. But there are occasionally glitches in the direct pay search where for no reason logical typing too much of a vendors name makes them magically disappear into the black hole that is classwallet. SOOOOO if you do not at first see the vendor when searching first try ONLY TYPING THE FIRST TWO LETTERS of the vendor name, let it populate the search up and scroll through the alphabetically listed vendors to find it. I know it is annoying at times but we are gonna just have to squeeze this lemon for all its worth sometimes because it is the lemon we have.

Alrighty now!

SO much has been happening so many adjustments to adjust to. Let’s recap on the newly requested slight changes on submissions.

Mileage screenshots – Remember to start adding a google screenshot of mileage showing both addresses in the request for each different address. This is to speed up reimbursements by taking all the time for putting that in for every single one off of the staff and make it faster to approve your requests.

Proof of Payments – If your receipt does not very clearly show the payment and payment method you will need to also submit a screenshot of the cleared payment.

LIVE ANIMALS are not and will not be approved BUT… there was a small communication glitch in the office, and some staff were not aware that nobody considers bugs live animals. It will remain ok to request the science kits with ants, mantis, larva, caterpillars ect.

Kindle or tablet not both. Only one or the other will be approved per student.

To clear up some confusion some have had ---

Virtual Academies are not homeschooling options. There are online schools and virtual academies that are vendors and are in fact considered homeschool options.

‍Arkansas Virtual Academy and Arkansas Connections Academy are public charter schools and enrollment makes students ineligible for EFA funds.

Enrolling in those options makes students ineligible for funding as those are public schools online.

I do NOT work for the ADE and do NOT know all answers. But I know a damn site more than the majority because I am a type A, OCD, insomniac that makes and keeps spreadsheets of important data so that I can reference it for accuracy… and I also DO in fact usually know who can help you when I cannot and can forward you to the appropriate person.

HOW DID MY WEEK GO? --- WELL

The troll really trolled us good this past week. Last Tuesday as the children all played and gathered with their public-school friends who swarmed as expected during the break the troll went right about the business of trolling.

While preparing a feast of pizza and spaghetti for all the children I realized I had not seen the little menace in a bit. This is always a concerning realization. The amount of water damage, furniture destruction, and general unhinged shit he has pulled not seeing him sends shivers up my spine.

So, I look for him….

Then I make ALL the children look for him…

Then I call hubby from his office, and every adult here also starts looking, calling, turning the house upside down and it a big house dudes this was no small task…

Ok – so trolling is his whole life, it’s his passion, and he absolutely has climbed right over the 6-foot privacy fence before when we weren’t staring him down like a prison guard watching inmates by a busted fence…

At this point we panic; I call the police –

PROPS to Beebe Police Department, 3 minutes or less like 8 officers were here to look for the little shit.

OH, WE FOUND HIM --- well an officer finally did and not immediately either cause this little troll plays the long game. UNDER A BED rolled up in a blanket like a damn taco.

Super glad we did not in fact have an escape, but this little menace gave me at least a mild heart attack. I am gonna have to put a bell on this child. If anyone has suggestions for a good quality tracker he can’t remove, I am all ears.
