EFA weekll email

Happy Thursday! Here is your weekly EFA program update:

Current queue dates

We are currently reviewing submissions from the following dates:

  • Reimbursement - 4/3

  • Direct Pay - 4/22

  • Marketplace - 4/21

  • Pre-approvals - 5/5

If you have a submission from before these dates that has not yet been reviewed, it is likely being given closer consideration. Feel free to reach out to ADE if you have submissions from before these dates.

Pending Reviews

We are making good progress on pending ClassWallet submissions. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to get everything reviewed.

Some parents have expressed worry that we will not get to all the reviews before ClassWallet closes on July 1st. To clarify, ClassWallet will only be closing for parents. We will continue reviewing submissions into July and will review all submission before reopening ClassWallet to families.

Summer Services and Extra-Curriculars

If your student is returning to the program and needs to pay for upcoming services, you can submit for anything that will occur in June, July, or August. For services that occur after that, please wait until ClassWallet reopens in July to submit those. For students who are not returning to the program next year, you may submit for services that occur in June but not later.

All extra-curricular expenses submitted this school year will be applied to this year's extra-curricular/PE/field trip limit. Anything submitted after ClassWallet reopens will be applied to next year's limit.

Testing Results

We are so close to being ready to receive your test results. Thank you for your patience! We expect we'll be sending out an email the first week of June with instructions. You will be able to apply for a testing exemption for your student at that time.

As a reminder, only students whose medical or clinical condition makes it impossible to meaningfully complete a test, even with accommodations, will be eligible for exemption. All other students will be required to submit test results. If you are not sure if your child qualifies for exemption, it could be worth it to schedule testing just in case your exemption is not approved.

One form of documentation that could be used for the testing exemption application is the Testing Exemption Form. We will provide a way to submit exemption documentation by the first week of June. In the meantime, you may want to go ahead and get this form filled out by a qualified professional.

We're happy to be serving you all! Have a happy rest of your week!

Best,

EFA Team
