EFA Families,
Happy Q3 funding week!
Today we want to cover those who might have missed funding, some recommendations for preapprovals, and some expense eligibility clarification.
Current queue dates
Reminder that queue times might be a little longer following a disbursement. Please be patient as we diligently work through your submissions.
We are currently reviewing submissions from the following dates:
Reimbursement - 1/26
Direct Pay - 2/3
Marketplace - 2/2
If you have a submission from before these dates that has not yet been reviewed, it is likely being given closer consideration. Feel free to reach out to ADE if you have submissions from before these dates.
Q3 funding
Quarter 3 funding just landed on Tuesday and Wednesday for over 43 thousand students all across Arkansas. If you were expecting funding but did not receive it, there is likely an issue with your child's social security number, either on their Notice of Intent (NOI) to homeschool or their EFA application. Please check out the following instructions to make sure that is fixed:

Preapproval Guidelines
Our new preapproval system (see link below) is working well, and we are working to keep up with it while also working through ClassWallet submissions. We are currently reviewing preapproval requests from 2/3/26.
You do NOT need to submit preapproval for commonly needed items such as books and curricula for your student, educational classes, or other ordinarily approved expenses. You only need to submit preapproval for items that are in a grey-area due to eligibility or price.
When submitting for preapproval, please be thorough but brief (we have a lot of these to read), and including a link when possible is really helpful.
Competition and Performance Fees
For PE and performing arts, the EFA program can cover educational or instructional expenses related to these categories, but fees associated specifically with competition, performance, or showcase events are not eligible. This would include tournament fees, recital fees, and performance costumes.
