EFA/ADE weekly email

EFA Families,

We hope you've been staying warm this past week! In today's update we have

Current queue dates

We are currently reviewing submissions from the following dates:

  • Reimbursement - 1/17

  • Direct Pay - 1/26

  • Marketplace - 1/15

If you have a submission from before these dates that has not yet been reviewed, it is likely being given closer consideration. Feel free to reach out to ADE if you have submissions in this situation.

Q3 funding

The third quarter of funding is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3rd. Funding might not happen first thing in the morning, so if the money isn't there when you wake up, don't panic.

If your student was funded in Q2 and you haven't made any changes to their account, then they should be ready to be funded in Q3. However, some families will need to update the Social Security number on their child's Notice of Intent (NOI) to homeschool or EFA application to make sure they match before their Q3 funds can be released. If you're in that boat and not sure how to update your student's information, please follow these step-by-step instructions: Application and NOI Update Instructions

If you are in this situation, your student might not get funded on February 3rd, but we will continue to check NOIs at regular intervals, so you will still be able to receive Q3 funds once those Social Security numbers match.

Queue Wait Times

As you can see from the queue dates above, we are closer to being caught up than we've been since the first disbursement. We're getting better at reviewing, you all are getting better at submitting, and the process is being streamlined overall.

That said, after a disbursement (like next Tuesday), it should always be expected that wait times will increase. You can check on your submitted orders by going to your ClassWallet dashboard and clicking on "Manage Orders". If your submission says it is pending review, we haven't gotten to it yet in the review queue. There is no need to worry that we have missed or skipped it. We will be working hard to make the wait times as short as possible, but they could be a few weeks or more, especially for reimbursements.

We hope you all are staying safe and warm out there this week!

Sincerely,

EFA Team
