** Note, anything not reviewed that was submitted before these dates is likely in further review for one of many reasons. But as a WHOLE this is where the queue is at.

ALL returning students ONLY needed to do the ClassWallet survey for now to be funded in August. Your next step is to submit test results in June. Then file a NOI and make SURE your students SSN is on that. DO NOT miss or forget to add the SSN!! If you do all of those things the student WILL BE FUNDED. There is no way to check anything else except that you completed the survey which you can check in ClassWallet by clicking the survey link on the home page of each student. SO if you did that then just watch for announcement of the test submission emails going out and the NOI for the new year going live.

Many new tutoring services and other unique educational experiences have been approved and set up in classwallet as vendors. Make sure to check the ads pages for details in their ads. Toni’s search is useful if you need in person as it allows mapping by zip code.

TESTING is still at the forefront of many minds. I would not delay any longer on CHOOSING and PURCHASING your test. Taking it, for that you have a little time left (little not a lot) but many companies are running out of proctoring dates that would get you the results back in time for the June 30th submission deadline.

Test results will be submitted in JUNE once the EFA office sends out upload links for each student in email. So, keep your results stored and ready so that you can quickly and easily submit those when the time comes.

REMINDER

A lot of crap for the 2026-27 school year can be paid for now, like curriculum, supplies, and required registration fees. (This means the policy has a SET due date that falls before July 1st in order to hold your spot for the fall)

‍ ‍

What is NOT eligible to be paid for now are fees for tuition, courses, and other services specifically associated with the 2026-27 school year. The new fiscal year begins July 1st. These fees can be paid after that date.

It should provide you a recording afterwards if you can’t actively participate that date and time so signing up is probably wise either way just in case you decide later you wish you had watched.

I created a page to give better steps and better instructions on requesting preapproval to hopefully clear up some questions and issues. Especially reminders about not forgetting about tax and shipping for the item when submitting the amount needed.

OTHER PROJECTS IN THE WORKS

SOOOOO close, to having the spreadsheet for the library search setup to start collecting the data by contacting each library. Are you good on the phone? Can you pull down a yes or no drop-down menu on a google sheet to denote whether or not each has certain items available without flubbing it up?

If so… PM me and I’ll put you on the help list for calling libraries. This resource will be invaluable to all homeschoolers and even public-school children. It will be shared statewide to help everyone search the library system for resources.

Several parents have requested a safe, secure and more specific place where they could trade or gift educational items they purchased with funds to others.

‍ ‍

This group is now created and is accepting members. It is a private, non-searchable group that requires an admin invite to join.

‍ ‍

You can PM me to gain access. ONLY verified group members will be allowed to join at this time. This is to make certain all of the members are verified as actual homeschool families and is for the safety of those gifting.

‍ ‍

Meeting others to trade or gift or allow porch pickup of items is simply not safe this day and age in the broad general public environment. Too many weirdos out there…

‍ ‍

This is NOT to be a SELLING format, but rather an opportunity to help others with items you no longer need. If you need items quickly and cannot wait for approval but you cannot afford reimbursement hopefully this group will become a viable resource.

‍ ‍

Members will be allowed to post items or to post wishes for items they need quickly. MANY times, there may be short term needs that one could even request to borrow from a fellow homeschool family.

‍ ‍

I hate waste so much, I did not spend 20 years cloth diapering to turn around and ignore ANY form of waste. Reuse and Reduce!!! I am not sure recycle fits the theme here…

This is a NEW group, literally just created it this morning at around 4am since I do not sleep so wtf not. So expect it to take a few weeks or even a month or so to have enough participants for things to actually move in the group.

‍ ‍

As always I am available via PM if you need an answer to something and are still confused after checking here and the websites.

‍ ‍

I do NOT work for the ADE and do NOT know all answers. But I know a damn site more than the majority because I am a type A, OCD, insomniac that makes and keeps spreadsheets of important data so that I can reference it for accuracy… and I also DO in fact usually know who can help you when I cannot and can forward you to the appropriate person.

HOW DID MY WEEK GO? --- WELL

I have been a bit EXTRA busy as it’s the time of year for senior photos to book and a slew of maternity and newborn session ended up by chance all squishing in close.

‍ ‍

The senior I shot this weekend had high expectations for what she wanted but we will be adding a mini session later this summer to her shoot. The images came out fabulous, don’t get me wrong, she NAILED the outfits and poses hands down. But, she wants water images, submerged in water, jumping in a stream, ect… well its simply not doable yet.

‍ ‍

She dipped her toes in, splashed some, but once those toes hit she was no longer of the mind that there was ANY chance in hell she was gonna manage to not become hypothermic if she jumped into that water. SO we’ll circle back around to that in late summer.

‍ ‍

Troll is having potty training success!! I think we pretty much have the daytime down now for #1, #2 not quite yet…

‍ ‍

But he self-discovered a whole new form of art. A mastermind as he is can not overlook opportunities to branch into more rounded avenues of attack. This little twerp wet a bunch of rolls of toilet paper, pulled CHUNKS off of them, turned them into mammoth sized ‘spit wads’ and pelted the walls and ceiling in the bathroom.

It looked like a scene from some sci-fi movie. I half expected alien creatures to start hatching from the cocoon like blobs that had to be scraped from the drywall.

‍ ‍

There is no day that goes by that this little troll doesn’t work to see exactly how high my blood pressure can elevate.
